Just fine! I bought this to use for my suitcases and backpacks when I travel. It's small, easy to set a combination for, easy to lock and unlock, and feels sturdy for it's size.Update: TSA cut this open the very first time I traveled with it. It's supposed to be TSA-approved, meaning TSA can unlock it with a key if they need to search a bag, rather than having to call you to unlock it or breaking into it. However, I picked up my suitcase at baggage claim to find that someone had cut through this and placed it in the outer pocket of my suitcase. It was still in the locked position.I'm disappointed that the lock itself worked fine, but is now useless after one single flight. I wasn't able to use it to lock up my belongings for the rest of the trip, and now I'll just have to throw it out. This must mean that either 1.) It's not truly TSA-approved, or 2.) TSA simply disregarded the fact that they could unlock it. Either way, I won't be buying another one of these because I don't want to risk wasting money again if TSA will just cut it open.Great product and INCREDIBLY GOOD SELLER!!! I had no problem programming the first one out of the package, but the second one, I could not get to unlock after resetting the code. Now, it is entirely possible that this was caused by operator error, not faulty construction. Since the code I chose is a simple one numerically, I tried every combination I could come up with using the adjacent numbers on each dial and writing it down as eliminated. When that failed, I contacted the seller through the information with the lock. They replied immediately each time I sent something to them and sent me a replacement (which also worked flawlessly( which got here within 2 days. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!I usually ingore requests from companies pandering for a review. But the opportunity for a buzzer to ring and someone in the office takes a shot of tequila was incentive enough for me. I bought the locks for the usual reason--to keep honest people honest. While the bag I ordered them for has not arrived yet (those slackers!) I was impressed with the ease of changing the combination. The directions were easy to follow, and I am not the best at these sorts of simple tasks. I like the plastic cover flex cable and can't wait to use them. Thank you for the locks, and the laugh.I took this lock over the Christmas holiday due to me getting a Wii for Christmas and needing to carry it home in my luggage. I was nervous that someone would steal the game from my luggage if I didnt have a lock. To my surprise I came across this TSA approved lock that gave me the security I needed to lock my things away but also allowed them access to my luggage should they need to inspect it. Turns out, they did have to go through my things and were able to do so without busting my personal lock. I feel much safer now against theft. Great!Great product! These came well packaged and are very good quality. The lock is solid and well made. The color, i have taken a black is also smart. It is easy to set your own combination that you choose. The lock is also TSA approved for airline travel. I plan to use the locks on luggage and on my backpack when traveling to prevent someone from possibly getting into my backpack when traveling abroad on public transportation. I also love that you do not need to worry about carrying around a key to unlock this lock, one less thing to worry about! I highly recommend it!These are the best locks! I have used them several times and they are great. Very good weight to them, pretty easy to read and very easy to set.The combination setting procedure is simple and similar to that of other luggage locks I've used. And opening and closing the lock is perfectly straight forward. Pull upward or press down. No pinching or sliding or turning needed. One of the really nice things is turning the tumblers provides a discernible tactile feedback so you know when a number is in position.I bought these locks for my checked bags on my vacation. I usually do not buy locks because I am skeptical that the airlines will cut them off for security purposes, but on the contrary, my locks remained on my luggage and I kept them on my bags while in my hotel. These locks are airport approved, I would suggest buying them, they are also easy to set a combo to.I'm on my way to do some serious hiking and backpacking in Scotland and wanted to be able to secure my "STUFF" from would-be prowlers and other nosy folks. These little babies fit the bill and I can change the combination whenever the spirit hits me. Very easy to do and the 4"cable allows you to connect other pockets when they are aligned.
